Food for thought
I’m sure we all have had our share of putting puzzles together, and the satisfaction that comes when finally finishing one. Today they have so many kinds, and are even made of different kinds of material. It takes patience to finish them especially when there are a lot of pieces, but the most discouraging thing about them is that you get to the end and the last piece is missing. You search high and low but to know prevail, oh where or where is the missing piece? You find a piece but it’s not the right one, you’re so desperate to finish that you try to stick that piece in any way, but it doesn’t work because it takes away from the whole puzzle. You’re at the point you can’t sleep, you can’t eat, day in and out you’re troubled about that one piece. To someone else it would be just a puzzle, but this puzzle had a 1000 pieces and I’ve done 999, and I’m just not satisfied knowing I’ve completed that much so it’s okay. So the search continues day in and out, you find yourself going through other puzzle boxes examining each piece until one day you find it. Some how it was put in the wrong box by mistake but after searching through about 10 boxes you have found that piece, and with such joy you rush over to the puzzle that was missing that piece and you put that piece in place and you just stand back and admire that puzzle because it is finally complete. Even so we have to stand before God complete, not missing pieces, and not trying to make wrong pieces fit. A person has to diligently search out God to get the things that they need to stand perfect before Him. If we become content with the way we stand before Him now, missing pieces, we have only ourselves to blame if He doesn’t accept what we offer to Him. A person who is concerned about being complete before God will sacrifice their time to make sure everything is there and complete because the satisfaction or approval from God is worth it all. Food for thought, I hope you’re hungry.
