Are you ready
When coming to Christ, I thought the greatest thing was for one to bear fruits of righteousness. That seed fell upon good ground, and was able to grow, and it started to produce blooms, and in time you could see small fruit growing all over the tree. God could come by inspect the tree and would be pleased by the way it was coming along. That sounded easy enough, but then it came to me that it’s not enough that you bear fruit, but that your fruit must remain. If we follow our daily routine in Christ we should be able to do just that, but if we become lazy, or preoccupied with other times our fruit will be affected by it. A drought can destroy any harvest, and if there is no water how can anything grow. The same applies for the fruit that we must bear before God, if we allow things to separates us from God we cause a drought in our lives, and those fruit that He was so proud of begin to dry up and fall to the ground because it wasn’t getting the daily nourishment it needed to maintain. Jesus was hungry and seeing a fig tree he went to eat of it but found no fruit, He then cursed the tree, and it died. Food for thought, I hope you’re hungry.
