Are you hungry?13
A marathon runner sees the end before he gets there even though he knows he’s many miles away. Because as soon as he looses sight of the end, he looses his desire to finish the race. Regardless of the heat, and no matter how much his legs ache, he knows at all cost he must finish the race. He’s not in first place, no where close to the leaders, but to him now it’s all about finishing. It would have been nice to be in first place, but he had some stumbles along the way, but he knew that he was better off getting up, then to accept defeat and stay down. Many Christians are running today, but it seems that in their tiredness they begin looking for short cuts. Leaving the path for smoother roads, those eased in Zion roads that really lead to no where. So I’m encouraging all those who are struggling but are not giving up, those that are on the uphill part, but are continuing to haul that cross. That one who feels they can’t take another step, but somehow keeps finding a way. Keep your eyes on the finish line, and don’t loose sight of the goal. You don’t have to come in first place, that place was taken a long time ago, but you still need to finish the race. Jesus knows the pain is tremendous, but He also knows Heaven is worth it all. Food for thought, keep running my friend.
